How we care for your dog
We learn what helps your dog feel comfortable, follow your instructions, and tell you how their walk went.
Your dog’s routine
Before a first walk, the care plan should cover your dog’s routine, equipment, dietary restrictions, and anything that makes them uncomfortable. We want to know what works at home.
Treats with your permission.
We ask before offering treats and follow the diet you’ve agreed with your veterinary team. You can supply a familiar treat, specify an approved option, or request no treats. We follow your instructions on ingredients and amounts.
A walk at their pace.
Some dogs want to investigate every patch of grass. Others prefer to keep moving. A walk should leave room for the dog in front of us, with no forced greetings or expectation to keep up with an unfamiliar group.
Water and weather
Fresh water access belongs in the care plan. So do warm surfaces, the conditions outside, and a clear agreement about changing an outing when needed. Read our warm-weather guide for the questions to discuss.
Updates after the walk
Our proposed walk update includes a short note and, with permission, a photo. Anything unusual deserves a direct message, not a guess. The update method and family contact are agreed before service begins.
Our handling limits
Our student walkers have clear breed and handling limits. We do not accept every dog. Read our breed exclusions and handling policy before making an inquiry.
